The hidden wonders that tourists don’t visit

The most beautiful places in New Zealand

New Zealand has wonderful landscapes rich in flora and fauna. It is a paradise in the middle of the southern Pacific Ocean. The country is divided in two parts, North Island and South Island. Next, we tell you the hidden wonders that tourists don’t visit.

Wonders of North Island

In this area of New Zealand we suggest you visit 4 places: the Coromandel Peninsula, the Tongariro National Park, the Great Barrier Island and the Ruapehu Mount.

The first one is a popular destination for locals to escape the big city. There, you should visit the Karangahake Gorge, the epicenter of the gold rush of 1875. Also, we recommend you enjoy a sunny day in New Chums Beach.

Secondly, it is important to visit the Great Barrier Island since there are thousands of deserted beaches, many archaeological sites, you can see killer whales, etc.

Thirdly, the Tongariro Nationa Park, the oldest park in the country, is a good option to enjoy spectacular landscapes with volcanic craters. We recommend you to take the Tongariro Alpine Crossing route (full-day excursion) to see all that it offers.

The last place in the north zone is the Ruapehu Mount, one of the best places to ski.

Wonders of South Island

In this area we suggest you visit 3 places: the Central Otago, the Doubtful Sound and the Stewart Island.

Firstly, the most famous region in New Zeland for its wines is Central Otago. It is popular for its sauvignon wines. Also, the territory offers you to practice some sports such as bungee jumping, parachute jumps and jet ski excursions.

On the other hand, the Stewart Island is practically unknown. You can find a large population of dolphins, penguins and whales, and also bird species.

Finally, the Doubtful Sound is the second largest fjord in the country. When you arrive there you can see Kiwi birds, bottlenose dolphins, sea lions and Fiordland penguins.

We hope you have the opportunity to discover the hidden wonders that tourists don’t visit. Please, organize your trip and obtain New Zealand visa before your travel date to avoid problems. We assure you that it is an essential step to travel to this country.
